March visitors..

~THURSDAY 17 MARCH 2016~
Judith Cox, from East York,
U.K watches hostess Elly as
she demonstrates how to weave.
Judith has previously seen the tapestry
when she and her husband were visiting
 New Zealand in December 2013.

~SATURDAY 19 MARCH 2016~
Charlotte Cates from Pataua North spent a bit of
time practising weaving on one of the mini-looms
while spending the day out with her Grandma.
Charlotte is 8 and a half years old and she
attends Glenbervie School. She loves making
things and being creative so her Gran said she
would look at buying her a tapestry loom for
her 9th birthday in July 2016.

March 2016

Hello faithful followers of this blog!
It's been a while since my last post and as we are nearing the "Three Year" mark thought it was high time I shared an update with you all. There's not much left to do on the sun now and we are making great progess as we weave up into the sky and the trees.
Again, we are so grateful to our faithful volunteers as
without them, the tapestry would come to a grinding halt!
Many shades of yellow make up the sun, leaves, flowers and the sky.
We so appreciate the dedication and hard
work from Naoko, Our Tapestry Master.

..and the left-hand side.
Thanks for stopping by and checking up on the progress!
